Crystal & Soda Lime Glasses (Not Including Double Wall Glasses)

Prepare for first Use

Wash with warm water, clean with neutral detergent with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Instructions to User

Do not let children using thin glasses as they might bite the bowl and swallow the chips.

Clean & Maintenance

1) After using, apply neutral detergent and use a soft cloth or sponge and wash the product in warm water. Rinse the last round with hotter water–the water drops on glasses, vaporize quickly so it is easier to dry thoroughly with a piece of soft cloth.

2) Do not allow to air dry as water stain may form and that is difficult to remove later.

3) Do not use metal or abrasive cleaning gadgets, or apply acidic or corrosive cleaning liquid. Permanent damage can be formed.

4) After proper cleaning, store the product in a cool, dry and safe place. Stay away from sharp metal or objects to avoid scratching.

CAUTION! GLASSWARE APPEAR WITH DECAL IN METAL COLOR MIGHT CONTAIN CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF REAL METAL, IN THAT CASE THEY ARE NOT SAFE TO BE USED IN MICROWAVE OWEN!

 

Double Wall Glasses

Double wall glasses are so called “thermos glasses” as they keep the drink at their temperature longer thanks to the double wall vacuumed feature. When the drink is hot, the glass keeps your hand cool. While when the drink is cold, the glass does not frost so your hand stays dry.

However as these products are uniquely handcrafted they are delicate and not suitable for use by children due to thin body gauge.

Flatware including knives, forks & spoons, steak knives and kitchen knives are produced with fine stainless steel which have high resistance to corrosion & rust. Provided with proper use & care, they can last their shine for years. Please observe the following advice.

  2. Use neutral or slightly alkaline detergents.

  3. Do not rub them with abrasive products, metal or synthetic wool.

  4. Dry piece by piece with a soft and absorbing cloth immediately after washing.

  5. Allow to dry completely & store in a cool & dry place

Remark

The content of metals & minerals naturally existed in tap water varies greatly from place to place. These metals & minerals in waterdrops left on the surface of washed flatware, especially knives, will be oxidized in open air, taking hours to form permanent stains or water marks. The best way to prevent is to dry the flatware & knives with a soft and absorbing cloth immediately after washing – no matter after manual or machine wash.

Special caring for articles with special handle

Athena signature collections come with fine stainless steel for blades and selected materials for handles. Handle made with stamina wood or acrylic are fragile and they require special caring:

  1. Hand wash with mild neutral detergent and rinse thoroughly under cold running water. Soaking into water must be avoided because it might lead to cracking of handle.

  2. Dry manually with a clean & soft cloth immediately after washing, then allow drying thoroughly at a standing post, with blade tip pointing down, in a cool place avoiding direct sunshine.

  3. Direct sunshine or heat from stove can lead to handle cracking. Please avoid.

  4. When not in use, store in a cool & dry place to avoid moss.

 

ITEMS IN FULL STAINLESS STEEL ARE DISHWASHER SAFE.

ITEMS WITH WOODEN OR ACRYLIC HANDLE ARE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE!

 

PVD Flatware

  5. Allow to dry completely & store in a cool & dry place

Prepare for first Use

Wash with warm water, clean with neutral detergent with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Instructions to User

  1. These products are fired at very high temperature during the formation of shape & color. The glaze applied formed a water proof surface on the plates and bowls thus making them very suitable to be used for food serving.

  2. Thanks to the glazed surface, they are stain resistant, odor resistant and virtually germs resistant. However due to long use natural wearing or scratches may be formed on the surface.

  3. It is advisable to replace old plates and bowls after a reasonable time of use to avoid chances for germs embedding in the scratches.

Wooden & Bamboo Boards

Prepare for first Use

                

Wash under running water, clean with neutral detergent with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Instructions to User           

  1. The color and grain appear in natural wood and bamboo vary diversely from piece to piece. This is natural and does not affect performance.

  2. Wood and bamboo have similar material characteristics and they basically require the same attentions to product caring, cleaning & maintenance.

  3. Scratches may be formed during the cutting process. Stain, odor and germs might stay on the scratches. Washing immediately after each use together applying anti-bacterial surface cleanser will be of great help to hygiene.

  4. It is advisable to replace old boards after a reasonable lifespan to avoid chances for germs embedding in the scratches.

  1. After each use, apply anti-bacterial surface cleanser, wipe once and wash thoroughly with neutral detergent under running water. Rinse again and dry thoroughly.
